Transportation Claims
What documents are required in case of transportation losses?
- Formal letter from the insured, filing their claim.
- Certification of the reports to the authorities (National Police, Public Ministry, etc.).
- Accounting certification detailing the amount of the loss.
- Documentation proving ownership and pre-existence of the merchandise.
- Documentation proving the movement of the merchandise prior to the loss (shipments, invoices, import/export policies).
- Bill of lading (if applicable)
- Letter of claim to the carrier holding them responsible for the loss suffered (If applicable)
- Letter of response from carrier to the letter of claim (if applicable)
- Detailed account of events, made by the pilot.
- Detailed account of events by security custodian (If applicable)
- Report from the security company to which the custodian belongs (If applicable)
- Photocopy of the driver’s license of the pilot
- Photocopy of the driver’s license of the transporting vehicle.
